Summary
Students often don’t appreciate the importance of understanding and being able to create mathematical proofs, as in the past they may have relied on recall instead of comprehension. How can we encourage students to appreciate the value of working with proofs, and enthuse them?
How it works
Julia and Adam have defined the problem, and Adam has set about exploring interactive digital approaches for students working with proofs, such as Camtasia. He has produced a short report on an approach that he believes would help students get to grips with simple proofs. The report can be accessed here.
